Quick answer

Every factual claim on this website is checked against a named primary source, such as HMRC, Ofgem, MCS or a network operator, before it is published. We review figures regularly, date our pages, and correct mistakes quickly. We do not publish figures we cannot verify or invent claims to fill gaps.

Every factual claim on this website is checked against a named primary source before publication. We do not publish figures we cannot verify, and we do not invent claims to fill gaps.

How we check facts

VAT relief is verified against HMRC VAT Notice 708/6. Export tariff information comes from Ofgem's SEG register and individual supplier rate cards. Inverter lifespan data is sourced from NREL and manufacturer specifications.

How often we review

VAT and export tariff information is reviewed at least quarterly. Cost guides are reviewed every six months against current supply-and-fit quotes. The fault code database is updated when new firmware versions introduce new codes.

What we will not publish

We do not publish invented savings figures, payback periods, carbon claims or customer reviews we cannot verify. Where we give price ranges, we label them as indicative and explain what they include.
